Vegas Golden Knights Defenseman Leaves Game Injured

During Sunday's contest against the Boston Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud left early due to an injury. He needed help to get off the ice and was not putting weight down on his right leg.

Given Whitecloud's importance to the Golden Knights, this is certainly a frightening development. The 26-year-old has emerged as one of their top shutdown defensemen, and it will be hard to replace him if he has to miss more time. Vegas is also without Alex Pietrangelo and Shea Theodore, so their defensive group already is weaker than normal.

In 30 games this season, Whitecloud has one goal to go along with five assists. Here's to hoping that he can return to action shortly.
