3 Philadelphia Flyers Likely Getting Traded Before 2023 Deadline

The Philadelphia Flyers have a number of players who are likely being shopped by general manager Chuck Fletcher. The Flyers would be wise to lose as many games as possible down the stretch and tank for Connor Bedard. Here's a few players who are likely on their way out before the March 3 trade deadline:

James van Riemsdyk

van Riemsdyk is a pending free agent who has a track record of scoring goals and putting up points. JVR is best suited on a team's second line and as a net-front presence on the power play. He's performed well in limited action this season in Philly, recording 15 points in 18 games. The Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs and New Jersey Devils all have different levels of interest.

Justin Braun

Veteran defensemen will move before the deadline and Justin Braun of the Flyers could be one of them. He's a defensive defenseman who loves to block shots and kill penalties. Braun isn't flashy and the fact he's right handed may interest more teams than you think. Braun's a pending free agent who is making $1 million against the cap this season.

Zack MacEwen

There's going to be a number of teams looking to add some sandpaper to their mix before March 3 and MacEwen will interest other teams. The 6-foot-3 26-year-old loves to play physical, get in the face of opponents and drop the gloves for teammates if needed. He's chipped in with eight points in 34 games so far this season and could help a playoff bound team's fourth line. He'd likely cost a fifth-round pick or mid-level prospect to acquire from the Flyers.
