3 Potential Trade Destinations for Canucks Conor Garland

While most of the trade rumors surrounding the Vancouver Canucks has been about Bo Horvat and Brock Boeser, there's been one other forward who has become a trade chip and that's Conor Garland. The 26-year-old has three seasons left on his deal at $4.95 million and does not hold any trade protection. Here's three potential destinations for Garland this season:

New Jersey Devils

The Devils are looking to add a winger or two and could have interest in Garland. He's having a down season with 20 points in 39 games, however has shown in the past with 52 points last season in 77 games he's capable of being a top-six productive winger.

Buffalo Sabres

The Sabres are an interesting team to watch as we creep closer to the deadline because they are very close to pushing for a playoff spot. They are also in the market for players with term on their deals as they look to continue their rebuild. Garland would provide them another weapon up front and they could use some more scoring prowess in Buffalo.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals are in the market for a top-six forward and while they've been linked to Boeser, their expected to have some interest in Garland as well. He'd cost less to acquire and is making almost $2 million less per season against the cap. Expect to see the Canucks and Capitals linked to several trade discussions and one will be a deal for Garland.
