Arizona Coyotes: 3 Trades to Consider Ahead of 2023 Deadline

The Arizona Coyotes have one thing on their mind and it's got nothing to do with Mullets and everything to do with drafting Connor Bedard. The team is looking to stock pile losses the second half of the season and could certainly help their cause by moving a few players out before the March 3 trade deadline. Here's three trades to consider:

Jakob Chychrun to the Toronto Maple Leafs

Chychrun is one of the prized jewels this season when it comes to the trade market and these two teams have some trade history dating back to a Connor Timmins move this season, and a Nick Ritchie move last season. Chychrun deal would be much more significant and if the Coyotes were smart, they'd make sure NCAA prospect and Arizona native Matthew Knies was included in the deal. Chychrun would give the Leafs a serious log jam on defense, however he's an upgrade on all of their current blueliners.

Shayne Gostisbehere to the Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers are desperate for a left-handed defenseman and could use Gostisbehere to help their playoff push this season. He's a pending free agent and one deal to consider here is moving him for Jesse Puljujarvi. It would give the Coyotes a potential top-six forward who could benefit from the change of scenery, and it would give the Oilers the two-way left-handed d-man they desperately need.

Nick Ritchie to the Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins are looking for forward depth and could have interest in Ritchie, who plays a heavy game and can score. The Penguins have Kasperi Kapanen who could interest the Coyotes and if they also include a prospect or draft pick to sweeten the pot, could get Arizona's attention.
