Blackhawks Rumors: Asking Price for Jonathan Toews Revealed

In a recent episode of The Jeff Marek Show, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman noted that it will probably cost a second-round pick and third-round pick to acquire Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews.

Toews is one of the biggest rental candidates heading into the trade deadline, and interest in his services is already starting to increase. With the Blackhawks being in a full-on rebuild, he has expressed his dissatisfaction with it, so a move seems inevitable. Now we have an expected asking price from the Blackhawks, and it is one that teams will likely consider.

Toews would be a good middle-six center option for contenders like the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, Edmonton Oilers, and Boston Bruins to consider, and that asking price would certainly be reasonable for his services. Alas, let's see what happens with Toews from here.
