Boston Bruins & Arizona Coyotes Emerging as Trade Candidates

The Boston Bruins have had a truly remarkable season, and they are expected to be major buyers at the trade deadline because of it. Although they’ve been linked to several star players like Bo Horvat and Patrick Kane, it also would not hurt for them to improve their bottom-six forward group. With Nick Bjugstad available from the Arizona Coyotes, he is a player who GM Don Sweeney could be taking a look at.

The Bruins could use a bit of a jolt on their fourth line, as players like Tomas Nosek, Craig Smith, and AJ Greer have had their struggles this season. Yet, Bjugstad has been excellent in a bottom-six role in Arizona, as he has 10 goals and 18 points in 43 games. Needless to say, he would provide the Bruins a little bit more offense on their fourth line if acquired. With that, his solid defensive play makes him a candidate for penalty-kill time.

Although bringing in Bjugstad would not be a major splash, he would provide more depth to Boston’s roster as they gear up for their playoff run. We will have to wait and see if the Bruins end up being the club that successfully acquires him from here.
