New York Islanders Key Defenseman Resumes Skating

The New York Islanders may be getting a major boost soon, as Adam Pelech has resumed skating and has been on the ice for three straight days. Thus, if he suffers no setbacks, it seems very likely that he could be back in the lineup very shortly.

Pelech is one of the Islanders’ most important defensemen, so it will be outstanding if he can return to the lineup shortly. After all, the Islanders are aiming to keep up with their Metropolitan Division rivals and cement themselves a playoff spot in the process. When Pelech officially returns, they will be getting back their top shutdown defenseman, so that certainly should help their chances of securing more wins. With that, Pelech has also chipped in a bit offensively this campaign, as he has three goals and 11 points in 27 games played.

It is always promising when an injured player resumes skating, so we will have to wait and see how his progress goes from here. Here’s to hoping that he’s back into game action for the Islanders shortly. They are much better with him than without him.
