New York Islanders Make Roster Moves


The New York Islanders have made some roster moves worth addressing. Top prospect Aatu Raty and defenseman Robin Salo have both been sent back down to the American Hockey League (AHL).

Raty appeared in seven games for the Islanders during his first career call-up, where he scored two goals and sported a plus-1 rating. Overall, it was not a bad start to the 20-year-old center's career, but now he is heading back to the AHL where he will be aiming to work on his development. He has appeared in 23 AHL games for the Bridgeport Islanders this campaign, where he has five goals to go along with 12 points. It is clear that he has been able to produce a bit in 

Salo, on the other hand, has played in 11 games for the Islanders this year, where he has two goals to go along with two assists. The 24-year-old has been decent when called upon by New York, but he will once again be spending time in the AHL for now.
