Montreal Canadiens Forward to Miss Several Weeks

The 2022-23 season has not been kind to Brendan Gallagher. He has been limited to only 25 games thus far, and he has performed far below expectations during them. He has just four goals and five assists to go along with a minus-6 rating. Now, more bad news has been through his way, as the 30-year-old winger will be sidelined for the next six weeks due to a lower-body injury.

Although the Canadiens' playoff hopes have rapidly decreased over the last few weeks, there is still no question that this is bad news for them. Gallagher is a key part of their core due to his leadership abilities and tenacious style of play. Yet, now he is forced to miss a significant chunk of time during a season that he has struggled mightily during.

Once Gallagher is back for the Canadiens, he will be hoping to heat up again and find his previous scoring touch. Until then, here's to hoping that he has a speedy recovery from here.
