New York Rangers Claim Forward Off Waivers

The New York Rangers have added to their depth, as they have claimed Jake Leschyshyn off of waivers from the Vegas Golden Knights.

Leschyshyn is a player who may benefit from a change of scenery, as he was unable to cement himself as a full-time NHL player with the Golden Knights since joining their system in 2017. Furthermore, he has struggled immensely this season, as he has not recorded a single point and has a minus-7 rating in 22 games. Needless to say, it has not been the 23-year-old's year, but now he will be aiming to change that as a Ranger from here.

The Rangers could use a little bit of forward depth, so there's no harm in them taking a chance on Leschyshyn. Let's see if the change of scenery provides him with the spark to take that next step in his development.
