NHL Rumors: Blackhawks' Kane Meeting With Agent Soon To Discuss Future

It is starting to reach a point where Patrick Kane must make a decision about where he wants to play for the remainder of the season. I'm sure he has heard some of the teams rumoured to have interest in acquiring him. But ultimately his future this season is up to him. He has a full no-move clause and can choose not to waive it or waive it for specific teams.

Pierre LeBrun reported that Kane and his agent Pat Brisson will meet in the coming weeks to discuss his future. If Kane is open to a trade, his list of teams will be very limited.

Kane has already won three Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks and given the team so much. If they were still competitive and not in full rebuild-mode, he may finish his career in Chicago. But seeing as the team isn't likely even going to bring him back next season if he decides to finish out the year with the Blackhawks, that's not a very realistic option at this point.

Jonathan Toews, Kane's longtime teammate, is also on the move if he chooses. They are both winners, but there's a slight possibility they both want to finish one last season together. If Kane decides he would be open to being traded, the Blackhawks have to do everything they can in order to make a deal with whatever team(s) that may be.
