NHL Rumors: Minnesota Wild Linked to Flyers Forward

The Philadelphia Flyers are currently shopping Kevin Hayes, and interest in his services is starting to increase. It is understandable, as the big-bodied forward was named to his first All-Star Game due to his strong offensive season. With the Minnesota Wild needing some help down the middle, it is not
surprising to hear that they are considering the idea of bringing him in.

Hayes would certainly provide the Wild with a big boost in their top six, as he would immediately be one of their best centers if acquired. Yet, it also is important to note that Hayes has shown this season that he also can work well at left wing, so Minnesota could utilize him there, too. Furthermore, his two-way play allows him to work on both the power play and penalty kill.

For a deal centering around Hayes to work, the Flyers will need to retain a chunk of his salary. If they are willing to do that, don't be surprised to see Hayes in Minnesota before the season is over.
