NHL Rumors: New York Rangers Linked to Star Center

The New York Rangers have high expectations for this season, and they are expected to be buyers at the trade deadline because of it. It is clear that they could use another top-six forward to their current group, and they are browsing the trade market for one because of it. According to The Fourth Period, they are currently one of the clubs currently linked to Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat.

Horvat has several teams expressing interest in him, and that is entirely understandable. After all, he is pending UFA with an affordable cap hit and is having a fantastic season. In 40 games this season, he already has a very impressive 29 goals to go along with 45 points. With his offense, he provides solid defensive play, so he would be a perfect addition for a team like the Rangers.

It will be intriguing to see if the Rangers' interest in Horvat ends up leading to a blockbuster trade once we get closer to the deadline. Alas, we will have to wait and see what ends up happening on that front from here.
