NHL Rumors: Colorado Avalanche & Chicago Blackhawks Talking Trade

The Colorado Avalanche are looking to repeat as Stanley Cup champions, but injury trouble has resulted in them having a slow start to the year for their standards. As a result, they are expected to make moves at the trade deadline, and one star player who they reportedly have on their radar is Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, according to The Fourth Period.

Kane is one of the top rental candidates heading into the trade deadline, and he already is getting a ton of attention and the rumor mill because of it. Several teams are linked to the future Hall of Famer, and it is not surprising when noting how much of an impact he could make to a true contender’s lineup. If the Avalanche got him, he would fit beautifully in their top six and on their power play.

The Avalanche are due for a major move, so don’t be surprised to see them kick up their efforts to acquire Kane as we inch closer to the deadline. We will have to wait and see if these two Western Conference teams end up striking a deal centering around the star from here.
