NHL Rumors: Philadelphia Flyers Shopping Forward

According to Anthony Di Marco of The Fourth Period, Philadelphia Flyers forward Patrick Brown will be up for grabs at this year’s trade deadline.

The Flyers are among the NHL’s worst teams this season, so they are expected to be major sellers at the deadline because of it. Brown is a pending UFA, so it makes sense that they are set to test his market as a rental. Although he is not a star, playoff teams are always looking for depth, and he would provide them with just that.

Brown has shown the season that he can be effective in a bottom-six role, so we will need to wait and see if he ends up being moved that the deadline from here. Some teams who could be a fit for him include the Tampa Bay Lightning, Seattle Kraken, Los Angeles Kings, and Washington Capitals.
