NHL Rumors: Washington Capitals Looking to Add Top-Six Forward

After a pretty rough start to the 2022-23 season, the Washington Capitals have heated up and look like legitimate threats again. As a result of this, they are Joe likely to be buyers at the deadline. This is especially true when noting all of the injury trouble they have had this campaign. As a result of all of this, the Washington Capitals are likely going to try to add a top-six forward before the deadline passes, according to Frank Seravalli.

There’s no question that the Caps would benefit from adding a top-six forward to their current group. Players like Nicklas Backstrom, Tom Wilson, Connor Brown, and Carl Hagelin are sidelined, they would be wise to bring in another forward. Furthermore, if the Caps want to win another Stanley Cup during the Alex Ovechkin era, they should certainly be looking to bring in more talent.

With players like Brock Boeser, Patrick Kane, Timo Meier, and Bo Horvat expected to be available, Washington sure has some good options to pursue.
