NHL Rumors: Washington Capitals & Vancouver Canucks Talking Trade

The Washington Capitals have picked things up significantly after a rough start to the 2022-23 season and are finally getting healthier in the process. Yet, even with this being the case, they are still expected to bring in a top-six forward before the deadline passes. According to The Fourth Period, they are currently linked to Vancouver Canucks winger Brock Boeser because of it.

After being a healthy scratch earlier this season, Boeser was made available by the Canucks. Ultimately, he is a player who certainly could use a change of scenery, and it appears that Washington is open to providing him with just that. There’s no question that he would be a big addition for them, as he could fit beautifully in their top six with his strong scoring touch.

It will be intriguing to see if this interest leads to Boeser being dealt to DC from here. However, it is also clear that multiple teams want to bring in the winger, so the Caps will certainly have lots of competition for his services.
