Tampa Bay Lightning & Philadelphia Flyers Becoming Trade Candidates

The Tampa Bay Lightning are once again among the NHL's top teams. Yet, even with this being the case, they are expected to make some additions to their current group before the trade deadline passes. NHL insider Frank Seravalli noted that their primary goal should be to add to their depth. With the Philadelphia Flyers reportedly willing to hear offers for Scott Laughton, perhaps their could be a match here.

The Lightning have become famous for bringing in hard-nosed middle-six players at the deadline over these last few years, and this is a trend that we could see continue this campaign. After all, they could use a bit of a jolt with their forward group, and Laughton would of course provide just that if acquired.

Laughton could be the perfect third liner for the Lightning, as he can play all three forward positions. With that, he provides solid secondary scoring to go along with strong defensive play. Overall, this is the kind of a player that contenders love to get, so let's see if the Lightning end up making a push for him from here.
