Seattle Kraken & Arizona Coyotes Talking Blockbuster Trade

Although the Seattle Kraken were underwhelming during their inaugural season, they have been excellent this year, and they are expected to be buyers of the trade deadline because of it. It has become well-known that Seattle is looking to add a defenseman to their group, and rumors are swirling that they are in on Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun because of it.

Chychrun is the top defenseman available for trade at this juncture, so it makes sense that several teams are aiming to acquire him. Now, Seattle is among them, and they have the assets to potentially land the star defenseman from here.

Chychrun would easily become the Kraken’s best defenseman if acquired and would fit beautifully on their top pairing because of it. With that, his solid all-around game would make him guaranteed to receive both power play and penalty kill time if acquired. Alas, we will need to wait and see if Seattle ends up being the lucky team to acquire him from here.
