Vancouver Canucks Forward Done for Season

The 2022-23 season has been a disastrous one for Vancouver Canucks winger Tanner Pearson. Due to injury, he has been limited to only 14 games and has not played since early November. Now, more bad news has been thrown his way, as the 30-year-old has suffered a setback in his recovery and needs another surgery on his hand. As a result, he has been ruled out for the remainder of the year.

It is rough to hear that Pearson's year is over after it barely even started. As stated above, he played in 14 contests this season, where he had one goal, four assists, and a minus-9 rating. Overall, he struggled when healthy, and he wasn't healthy nearly enough. Now, he will be aiming to bounce back in 2023-24 after fully recovering.

With Vancouver looking to clear out salary, Pearson was one of their primary trade candidates for this deadline season. Yet, now this injury will put those plans on hold, and his trade value has naturally dropped even further.
