Blues Rumors: St Louis Receiving Trade Offers for Depth Forward

The St Louis Blues are expected to make several big moves ahead of the trade deadline. These next few weeks could have a lasting impact on the future of the franchise and general manager Doug Armstrong has some heavy lifting to do. While the likes of Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko are getting all the attention, look out for Noel Acciari.

The 31-year-old Acciari is a pending free agent who is on a very good contract, which will appeal to many contenders. He could easily step in and be a shut-down center for a lot of playoff-bound teams and is having himself a very strong season in St Louis.

Acciari makes $1.25 million against the cap, and has recorded 18 points in 50 games this season. He's an above-average penalty killer and wins 54% of his faceoffs. There's no doubt he's the perfect fit for a few teams as someone who can throw off opponents best players.

Expect to see the Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche and Pittsburgh Penguins have all different levels of interest as there's going to be a bidding war for Acciari's services. It's likely a mid-round pick and mid-level prospect head back to the Blues in this trade.
