Nashville Predators Rumors: Forward Becoming Trade Candidate

The Nashville Predators are currently sitting out of a playoff spot, and there are rumblings that they will be sellers at the 2023 Trade Deadline because of it. According to The Fourth Period, Yakov Trenin could be on the move because of this.

Trenin has one year left on his contract after this one, so teams would need to be okay with the fact that he would be more than just a rental. When noting that he is an effective bottom-six forward who plays a physical game, it certainly seems possible that several contenders would love to add him to their rosters.

Trenin has also emerged as a quality penalty killer, so teams looking for a bit of a boost in that area should certainly consider the prospect of making a push to acquire him.

Teams like the Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals, and Vegas Golden Knights stand out as some possible landing spots for Trenin, but we will need to wait and see if he does in fact find a new home before the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline passes from here.
