NHL Rumors: Insider Links Philadelphia Flyers Forward to Wild

The Minnesota Wild are looking to add to their roster before the 2023 Trade Deadline passes. This makes sense, as they are currently aiming to maintain a playoff spot, and there are several strong teams in the Western Conference. Earlier this week, we wrote about how the Wild are emerging as a potential landing spot for James van Riemsdyk because of this, and now more fuel is being added to this fire. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, JVR could make sense as a fit for Minnesota.

It is clear that the Wild would be wise to add another top-six forward to their group. While playing at his best, van Riemsdyk works quite well on the second line, as he can contribute well offensively. With that, his net-front presence ability makes him a wonderful part of any team's power play, so he would provide a major boost to the Wild's if acquired.

There appears to be some real buzz over the possibility of van Riemsdyk joining the Wild, so this is something that we should all keep a very close eye on from here.
