NHL Rumors: Insider Links Ducks Defenseman to Penguins

The Anaheim Ducks are a team that hockey fans will be watching very closely at the 2023 Trade Deadline. They are of course going to be one of the biggest sellers, as they are one of the worst teams in the league. Players like John Klingberg, Adam Henrique, and Kevin Shattenkirk have emerged as prime trade candidates because of it. However, Dmitry Kulikov is also a decent option available, and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman noted that the Pittsburgh Penguins could be a good fit for him.

The Penguins are heading into the trade deadline with a wild card, but the Eastern Conference is immensely close. As a result, their playoff spot is certainly not guaranteed, so they are expected to be active at the deadline. Although Kulikov is not a star, he would provide them with a solid bottom-pairing defenseman for the final portion of the campaign.

In 52 games this season, Kulikov has two goals and 10 points. Overall, he has been a solid defensive defenseman for the Ducks this campaign, but let's see if he ends up becoming a Penguin before deadline passes from here.
