Toronto Maple Leafs Make Roster Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs are down a notable netminder, as Matt Murray has been placed on injured reserve.

Murray has dealt with injury trouble a lot this season, but he has been quite solid when healthy. In 19 games this campaign, he has an 11-5-2 record to go along with a .911 save percentage and 2.73 goals-against average. Overall, the change of scenery has done Murray well thus far, but his primary issue has been staying healthy. Alas, now the Maple Leafs will not have him for their back-to-back games against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Maple Leafs have also made some call-ups, as Pontus Holmberg, Alex Steeves, and Joseph Woll will all be joining the NHL squad. Holmberg has appeared in 33 games this season with the Leafs, where he has five goals and 13 points in 33 contests. Steeves has not appeared in an NHL game this campaign, but he has 38points in 44 games with the Toronto Marlies. As for Woll, he will serve as the Leafs' backup while Murray is out. In four career NHL games, heh as a 3-1-0 record, .911 SV%, and 2.75 GAA.
