San Jose Sharks Rumors: Predators Defenseman Becoming Target

Nashville Predators defenseman Dante Fabbro is a player to watch at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. In a recent 32 Thoughts piece, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman brought up the possibility of the San Jose Sharks making a push for him.
Although the Sharks are expected to be sellers, they also could be open to the idea of taking a chance on a former top prospect like Fabbro. While playing at his best, he has shown signs of being a top-four defenseman, so perhaps joining a rebuilding club like the Sharks could help him hit that level more consistently. With that, as Friedman notes in his piece, it would give Fabbro the chance to play for Sharks head coach David Quinn again. Fabbro played for him during his collegiate career.

With Fabbro being just 24 years, there certainly is a chance that other rebuilding teams could take a look at him. In 52 games this season, the 2016 first-round pick has one goal, eight points, and a minus-1 rating. However, he also recorded a 24-point campaign in 66 games just last season, so maybe a change of scenery could get him back on track.
