St. Louis Blues Rumors: Forward On LA Kings' Radar

The St. Louis Blues have already made one major move, as they traded Vladimir Tarasenko to the New York Rangers earlier this month. Ivan Barbashev is likely to follow, as he is also a pending UFA. The scrappy forward has been garnering a lot of attention, and the Los Angeles Kings are the latest club to have him on their radar, according to The Fourth Period.

The Kings are in a very close Pacific Division, so it makes sense that they are being aggressive on the trade market. Adding a player like Barbashev to their middle six would certainly be a smart decision, as he would provide them with more secondary scoring, solid defensive play, and immense physicality. As a result, this is exactly the kind of forward that playoff teams want to get their hands on.

Barbashev has 10 goals and 27 points in 53 games played this season. Although his production has gone down from his 60-point campaign last season, he is still having a solid campaign. Furthermore, he has been heating up as of late, as he has seven points over his last seven games played.
