St. Louis Blues Rumors: Parayko Linked to Division Rival

The St. Louis Blues have made major changes to their group this month. Big-name players like Ryan O'Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko each have new homes, and the Blues may not be done just yet. Colton Parayko's name has emerged in trade talks, and the Winnipeg Jets are starting to appear as a possible landing spot for the right-shot defenseman.

In a recent 32 Thoughts piece, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman wrote that Parayko would make a lot of sense of the Jets. It is easy to understand why, as the Jets could use a serious boost to the right side of their defensive group before the postseason, and Parayko would provide them with just that. However, Parayko also has full control over if and where he will be moved.

Parayko would make the Jets look a lot deeper on paper, so we will need to wait and see if they decide to make a push for him. In 55 games played this campaign, the 6-foot-6 defenseman has three goals to go along with 16 assists.
