Vancouver Canucks Rumors: Trade Interest Picking Up

The Vancouver Canucks have already traded their captain this season as they sent Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders and it's very likely more moves are on the way. While Brock Boeser and Luke Schenn remain prime trade candidates, word is teams have been calling about J.T Miller as well.

Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman reported via 32 Thoughts segment on Hockey Night in Canada on Saturday night that the Canucks have been getting some interesting calls:

There’s been a lot of talk about his situation. I don’t know where this is gonna go, and there’s a chance it might not go anywhere, but I do think teams have called the Canucks and just said, ‘if we wanted to do this, what would you think about here?’ So we’ll see where that goes.

Miller is a rare trade candidate who has signed a long-term extension with his current team and could be moved before it even kicks in. He's due $8 million per season through the 2029-30 season. Miller has recorded 51 points in 56 games this season and has caused his fair share of drama. There's no doubt the Canucks would entertain a move if the price is right and the package heading back to Vancouver is significant.
