Anaheim Ducks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest piece, we will be discussing the rebuilding Anaheim Ducks. Although they are rebuilders, they brought in several free agents last offseason and could do the same this summer.

Corey Perry: Corey Perry is a pending unrestricted free agent, and it would be quite interesting to see him become a Duck again. If the veteran forward has trouble finding a new home, perhaps Anaheim would be open to bringing him to let him finish out his career with the organization he had the most success with.

Connor Brown: Connor Brown is an intriguing free agent who the Ducks could take a chance on. The 29-year-old missed all but four games this season with the Washington Capitals and could be signed at a very cheap price this summer because of it. When noting that he has been a solid middle-six winger for quite some time now, the Ducks could ink him to a one-year deal and flip him at the deadline if he has a strong year.

Erik Gustafsson: The Ducks' blueline could use a boost, so they could look to sign a solid defenseman like Erik Gustafsson. The 31-year-old has had a solid year split between the Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs this season, as he has seven goals, 39 points, and a plus-8 rating.
