Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.

Seth Jones: The Blackhawks are likely to shop Seth Jones this offseason, as they are in a full-on rebuild and have already traded several of their most notable players. However, it will also be hard for them to move him, as he carries a $9.5 million cap hit until the completion of the 2029-30 season and has a full no-movement clause. Thus, he has complete control over if and where he will end up. However, when noting how bad Chicago is right now, it is likely that he is open to a change of scenery. Yet, is his contract moveable?

Taylor Raddysh: The Blackhawks should be looking to move Taylor Raddysh this offseason. We have seen pending restricted free agents with very cheap cap hits get moved for major returns, and Raddysh could be next to follow. In 74 games this season, he has 20 goals and 33 points.

Ian Mitchell: Ian Mitchell is expected to be made available this summer, and he should have a decent market for his services. After all, he is still young and has the tools to emerge as a bottom-pairing defenseman at the NHL level.
