Philadelphia Flyers Set Asking Price For James Van Riemsdyk

The Philadelphia Flyers have made it known that they are willing to trade James van Riemsdyk, a veteran winger on an expiring contract.

Now, according to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Flyers are reportedly seeking a third-round pick in return for him, with the Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, and Winnipeg Jets among the interested teams.

While van Riemsdyk still has 20-plus goal potential, he has only scored three goals in his past 19 games.

Despite this, teams are still showing interest in him and the Flyers expect other teams to jump in on the potential trade as time winds down on Friday's trade deadline day.

Over 41 games this season, the thirty-three-year-old has registered nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points.

Over the last seven seasons (474 games), Van Riemsdyk has scored 161 total goals.

The veteran forward will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
