Vancouver Canucks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this article, we will be focusing on the Vancouver Canucks.

Vladislav Gavrikov: The Canucks have already been linked to Vladislav Gavrikov and are expected to pursue him this offseason. It is apparent that they need a left-shot top-four defenseman, so Gavrikov certainly would make sense for them. With that, he plays a very reliable defensive game and chips in offensively a bit in the process.

Pius Suter: The Canucks are expected to improve at the center position this summer, and Pius Suter has been linked to them because of it. Although he is not a star, he could be a solid third-line option for them, as he provides decent secondary scoring and is effective defensively in the process.

Oskar Sundqvist: The Canucks could also look at Oskar Sundqvist this summer as well. The 29-year-old versatile forward has had a solid 2022-23 season, as he has 10 goals and 28 points in 64 games played. If signed, he would likely play third-line minutes, whether that is at center or right wing.
