Buffalo Sabres Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' Offseason Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.

In this latest piece, we will be focusing on the Buffalo Sabres.

Victor Olofsson: Victor Olofsson has found himself in the rumor mill at times over the last few seasons, so he stands out as a possible trade candidate. This is especially true when noting that he will be a pending unrestricted free agent next season, and the Sabres have other forwards who have passed him on the depth chart. When knowing that he can score at a solid rate, expect several teams to pursue him this summer.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: There are rumblings that the Sabres are losing patience in Ukko-Pekka Luukonen, and he could be on the move this offseason because of it. The Sabres now have top prospect Devon Levi signed, so that could increase the Sabres' willingness to move UPL. Rebuilding teams would likely be open to taking a shot on him.

Eric Comrie: Don't be surprised if the Sabres try to trade Eric Comrie this offseason. After a strong 2021-22 season with the Winnipeg Jets, Comrie has struggled immensely as a Sabre this year. His .886 SV% and 3.67 GAA are just not good enough, so if they can move him this offseason, they will jump on the opportunity to gain more cap space.
