Winnipeg Jets & San Jose Sharks Complete Trade

The Winnipeg Jets have made a trade with the San Jose Sharks to acquire forward Vladislav Namestnikov in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2025.

This marks the second time Namestnikov has been traded this week, as he was initially traded from the Tampa Bay Lightning to the Sharks for Michael Eyssimont.

The 30-year-old forward has recorded six goals and 15 points in 57 games this season while averaging 11:50 of ice time per game with the Lightning. The Lightning retained 50 percent of Namestnikov's $2.5 million salary, meaning the Jets will only be responsible for $1.25 million.

Namestnikov was selected by the Lightning in the first round of the 2011 NHL Draft and spent five seasons with the team before being traded to the New York Rangers.

He later played for the Ottawa Senators, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, and Dallas Stars. Over the course of his 10-year NHL career, Namestnikov has tallied 113 goals and 251 points in 610 games.
