Florida Panthers Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2023 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest installment, we will be looking at the Florida Panthers.

Shayne Gostisbehere: The Panthers would be wise to add a top-four left-shot defenseman this summer, and Shayne Gostisbehere stands out as a potential free-agent target because of it. The Florida native is putting together another strong season, as he has 12 goals and 38 points in 69 games split between the Arizona Coyotes and Carolina Hurricanes.

Tomas Nosek: The Panthers' bottom six could use a boost, so perhaps Tomas Nosek is a player who they would target this offseason. He has quietly been one of the Boston Bruins' top penalty killers all season, and that is an area where the Panthers need to improve. Thus, although he is not flashy, there could be a nice fit here.

Miles Wood: The Panthers could use a bit more grit in their bottom six, so Miles Wood is a player who they should consider targeting. The 6-foot-2 winger plays a heavy game and provides decent secondary scoring in the process, so he would be a pretty solid addition to their third or fourth line.
