NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Pius Suter This Offseason

Pius Suter may not be the biggest star in the world, but he has proven to be a solid third-line forward while performing at his best. As a result, there should be a good amount of interest in him this summer, and this is especially so when noting that this year's free agency class is rather weak. Let's discuss three specific teams who are expected to target him.

Vancouver Canucks: Besides clearing out cap space, the Vancouver Canucks biggest offseason objective is to find a third-line center. Due to this, they are already being linked to Suter, and he would be a great fit for their 3C role. With that, his solid two-way play would likely lead to him receiving time on both their special team units.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals could use more secondary scoring, so don't be surprised if they are in the mix for Suter. He would be a nice addition to their third line, but he also could be in the running for top-six minutes when injuries inevitably arise during the year.

Vegas Golden Knights: The Vegas Golden Knights have some pending UFAs and could be in the market for a player like Suter because of it. He would give Vegas more secondary scoring and would simply make their depth better on paper.
