Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: Forward to be Shopped During Offseason

Leading up to the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline, Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes was one of the most notable trade candidates. Although the Flyers were unable to strike a deal centering around the forward, they are expected to shop him yet again this summer.

Moving Hayes during the summer should be an easier task for the Flyers, as teams will have more cap space available to work with due to expiring contracts. There was interest in Hayes' services leading up to the deadline as well, and that is likely to remain the case if the Flyers are willing to retain a portion of his salary as well.

Teams looking to improve their middle six should call about Hayes, as he is a solid point producer who can work well on the power play. In 80 games this season, the 2022-23 All-Star has 18 goals to go along with 56 points. Some clubs who are expected to target him include the Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes, and Colorado Avalanche.
