St. Louis Blues Rumors: Goalie Becoming Trade Candidate

The St. Louis Blues had a rough 2022-23 season that saw them miss the postseason. A notable reason for their struggles was their goaltending, and there have been rumblings that they could look to trade Jordan Binnington this offseason because of it.

Binnington's 2022-23 season was one to forget, as he had a 27-27-6 record, 3.31 GAA, and .894 SV%. That is just far below expectations from a starting goaltender, and it could lead the Blues to look for an upgrade during the offseason because of it.

Binnington has a full no-trade clause, so he would need to approve any move centering around him. That is a major obstacle for the Blues, but we have also seen players with full NTCs traded in the past, so it is not impossible.

Alas, we will need to wait and see if the Blues look to add a new goalie this offseason from here.
