Tampa Bay Lightning Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Ross Colton

The Tampa Bay Lightning have limited cap space, and pending RFA Ross Colton could be on the move this summer because of it. Teams looking for help on their third line could consider making a push for him, so let's discuss three possible landing spots for him.

Vancouver Canucks: There have been rumblings that the Vancouver Canucks will make a push for Colton this summer, and it ultimately makes sense. It is apparent that they need to improve down the middle if they hope to be a playoff team next season, and bringing in a solid player like Colton would help with that.

Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche stand out as a team who would be interested in acquiring Colton. After all, they have several pending UFAs such as J.T. Compher, Evan Rodrigues, Andrew Cogliano, Lars Eller, and Darren Helm. As a result, they will surely be looking to improve their forward depth this offseason, and Colton would provide them with a quality 3C option.

Detroit Red Wings: The Detroit Red Wings could certainly look to add Colton, too. When looking at their current group, it is apparent that they could need to improve their forward depth. Colton would give them a proven 3C who can kill penalties and work on the power play.
