Video: Sidney Crosby Hits 1,500 Career Points

Sidney Crosby has reached a massive milestone. Due to his three-point performance against the Detroit Red Wings, he now has reached 1,500 career points. He is the 15th player in NHL history to do so.

Crosby secured his 1,500th career point with a beautiful snapshot. The goal was his second of the game and his 33rd of the 2022-23 season. With it, he now has 91 points on the year.

Even at 35 years old, Crosby is still among the top players in the NHL, and he is not showing any signs of slowing down in the slightest. In each of his 18 NHL seasons, he has averaged over a point per game, so it is quite easy to understand how he now has 1,500 on his career. This is remarkable when noting the serious injury trouble he dealt with during a good portion of his career.

Alas, way to go for one of the game's greatest players! It took Crosby only 1,188 games to hit the milestone.

So what's next for Crosby? 600 goals and 1,000 assists. We will need to keep a close on him, as these milestones are certainly in reach before he calls it a career.
