Colorado Avalanche Rumors: Forward Becoming Free-Agent Target

The Colorado Avalanche were dealt awful news when it was announced that Gabriel Landeskog is set to miss the entire 2023-24 season. Now, they are expected to be on the hunt for a left winger in free agency, and Alex Killorn is becoming one of their possible free-agent targets because of it.

Killorn is one of the best pending unrestricted free agents heading into the summer, and the Tampa Bay Lightning are hoping to bring him back. However, due to limited salary cap space, there is a good chance that he will hit the open market this offseason. As a result, the Avalanche are in a position to bring him in and help bolster their offense in the process.

Yet, when knowing that Killorn is a legitimate top-six forward with two Stanley Cups on his resume, he is going to receive a plethora of interest if he hits free agency. As a result, the Avalanche will have a lot of competition if they hope to bring them in. However, when noting that they are legitimate contenders, there is a good chance that Killorn would at least be open to the prospect of playing for them. We will need to wait and see if the Avalanche can successfully sign him from here.
