Maple Leafs Rumors: Depth Forward Likely Returning to Toronto in 2023-24

The Toronto Maple Leafs have over 10 free agents to worry about off their 2022-23 roster and there's only a few who they are reportedly considering bringing back. One in which is Noel Acciari, who was acquired from the St Louis Blues before the trade deadline and made an impact on the organization in Toronto.

Accairi admitted at the end of the season press conferences he's open to re-signing with the Maple Leafs and called the organization first class. Acciari is someone the Leafs have been trying to acquire for sometime as they faced him in the playoffs multiple seasons in a row.

The versatile depth forward is coming off a season where he scored 23 points in 77 combined regular season games between the Blues and Leafs and another two goals in 11 playoff games. He's known for his work ethic, being hard on the forecheck, killing penalties and eating cookies. 'Cookie' created quite the buzz in the city with his love for eating cookies and even partnered with Tim Hortons throughout his time in Toronto.

The Maple Leafs, once they get their GM in place, will be busy leading up to July 1 as they have multiple free agents, including Acciari they would like to bring back. Then when July 1 hits, it's the contract extensions of Auston Matthews and William Nylander to worry about, along with what to do with Mitch Marner.
