Philadelphia Flyers Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Ivan Provorov

The Philadelphia Flyers are gearing up for a busy summer under their new management. Ivan Provorov is their biggest trade target, and now two teams are officially being linked to the defenseman – the Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators.

The Kings expressed interest in Provorov leading up to the deadline, but a move did not come to fruition. Los Angeles needs to improve the left side of their defensive group if they hope go on a real playoff run next year, and bringing in a top-pairing defenseman like Provorov could lead to them doing just that. Furthermore, if Vladislav Gavrikov walks, Provorov would be a major upgrade over him.

The Predators may have been major sellers at the deadline, but they are not rebuilding. Instead, they are looking to transform their roster, and bringing in a player like Provorov would help improve it immensely. He would be a great replacement for Mattias Ekholm, so look for the Predators to make a major push to land him this offseason.
