3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Golden Knights' Adin Hill

One of the biggest surprises of the Stanley Cup Playoffs was the play of Adin Hill. The Vegas Golden Knights netminder came out of nowhere to lead his team to the ultimate prize and now gets set for a nice pay raise once July 1 hits. Hill will be one of the many intriguing goalie options available during free agency and here's a few teams to watch when it comes to interest:

Ottawa Senators

The Senators finally sold this week and now business can proceed. Alex DeBrincat appears to be getting traded and once a move is finalized their attention will turn to free agency and more specifically finding a new starting goalie. Hill's only 27 years old and while he's a bit of a risk because of sample size, nobody can deny the fact he has the ability to win big games. The Sens will be in some big games over the next three seasons and Hill could be between the pipes.

Los Angeles Kings

Spending time in Vegas and with the San Jose Sharks, the rival Kings are very familiar with his game. LA is looking to look in Joonas Korpisalo to a long-term deal, however contract talks have been quiet of late. Hill would give them a solid option for a new tandem and is likely looking for a three-year contract this summer. In 16 playoff games, Hill posted an impressive 2.17 GAA and .932 Sv.%. His bank account is going to appreciate this come July.

Detroit Red Wings

Another up and coming team who will be looking for a partner for Ville Husso. The Red Wings will be smack dab in the middle of the goalie market in a couple of weeks and should have interest in Hill. He'll likely come in at $2.5-$3 million per season, and that's something Steve Yzerman could handle against his cap. The Wings are looking to take a big step in 2023-24 and will need to secure some goaltending depth to do so. Hill could be a great place to start.
