Anaheim Ducks Rumors: Calgary Flames Goalie On Team's Radar

Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson is one of the biggest names in the rumor mill. It is clear that he wants a change of scenery, and the Ducks are expected to honor his request. However, they will need another goaltender if Gibson gets moved, and according to The Fourth Period, Calgary Flames netminder Dan Vladar is on their radar.

The Flames are gearing up to move Vladar. Dustin Wolf appears to be ready for a full-time NHL role, making Vladar expendable. Yet, when noting that Vladar is still only 25 years old and has the potential to become a starter, it makes sense that a rebuilding team like the Ducks are interested in him.

Vladar appeared in 27 games this past season with the Flames, posting a 14-6-5 record, 2.91 goals-against average, and .895 save percentage. Although he had a winning record, it is clear that he was inconsistent when observing his GAA and SV%.

It will be intriguing to see if the Ducks end up being the lucky club that bring in Vladar this offseason.
