Buffalo Sabres Sign Forward To Contract Extension


The Buffalo Sabres have signed Lukas Rousek, a rising player within their organization, to a two-year contract extension worth an average annual value of $775,000.

Rousek, a 24-year-old forward, impressed both in the AHL and during his NHL debut with the Sabres.

In the AHL, he led the Rochester Americans with 40 assists and 56 points in 70 games, showcasing his playmaking skills.
Rousek also put up an impressive 12 points in 14 playoff games.

His steady progress earned him a call-up to the Sabres, where he made an immediate impact by scoring a goal and an assist in his first NHL game.

Rousek's strong performance and work ethic have positioned him as a top candidate for a roster spot in the upcoming season, although he may start in the AHL as a top call-up option.
