Jets Rumors: 3 Teams Linked to Pierre-Luc Dubois Blockbuster

The Winnipeg Jets have been informed by Pierre-Luc Dubois, he's not interested in sticking around. The soon-to-be 25-year-old has one season left on his contract and he's informed the Jets he won't be signing a contract extension. Look for a trade to go down this summer and besides the Montreal Canadiens, where Dubois' been linked for two years, here's three other teams involved:

Boston Bruins

The Bruins have two gaping holes down the middle and will need from fresh faces next season. Dubois would be a great fit in Boston and can easily slide into one of the two top-six roles. One issue here would be what the Bruins could offer. Apparently Winnipeg is not looking at a full rebuild and wants to retool the core on the fly. This could mean Jake DeBrusk is in play.

Carolina Hurricanes

The Hurricanes want to get bigger and they want to get more powerful offensively, so Dubois fits the bit perfectly. Don't expect to see Martin Necas or Seth Jarvis involved here, but the Hurricanes have a deep prospect pool and a ton of defensemen other teams covet.

Detroit Red Wings

The Wings are getting close to getting over the hump and into contention in the Eastern Conference. Adding a top-two center like Dubois could help propel the transition. Detroit is loaded with prospects and picks and can provide a very future oriented trade. Don't consider them the favorite, but the Red Wings will be kicking tires for sure.
