St. Louis Blues Rumors: Two 2023 1st Round Picks In Play

The St. Louis Blues had an amazing trade deadline this year and got themselves a lot of assets including two more first round picks to bring them to three in this year's draft. The Blues have the 10th overall pick which is their own, but also have Dallas and Toronto's first rounders at number 25 and 29. David Pagnotta reported that the Blues continue to dangle those picks out there to teams as they are looking to get better in short order.

With the 10th overall pick likely staying put, it's not difficult to believe that both the 25th and 29th picks could be moved if it means seriously upgrading one or two spots in their lineup. General manager Doug Armstrong has not been quiet this offseason already, looking for help and also looking to trade a defender away. The Blues have been linked to Travis Konecny of the Philadelphia Flyers, so that would certainly cost a first round at least.

The Blues have a decent but younger forward group that they are looking to upgrade and in this year's draft that is very strong and deep, teams could be intrigued by a first rounder, even if it is later in the draft. Keep an eye on the Blues leading up to and at the draft to make a big trade.
