Winnipeg Jets Receiving Multiple Trade Offers

The Winnipeg Jets will be going through a franchise altering offseason this summer. The core of their team will be changing as several impact players off their roster are currently being discussed in trades. Here's the latest as expect to see Jets' general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff pull off multiple big trades, and soon:

Connor Hellebuyck The 'Big Prize'

Expect to see the Jets receive an absolute boat load of assets for goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. He's informed the team he's not interested in re-signing and the trade offers have been fast and furious since. There's a couple of wild card teams out there including the Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs.

You can add the Pens and Leafs to the Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, and Los Angeles Kings who are all interested. Hellebuyck's a Vezina trophy candidate year in and year out, there is no shortage of interest. Look for at least one first-round pick, a top prospect and a young roster player to be heading to Winnipeg in return.

Pierre-Luc Dubois to Montreal Won't Go Away

Dubois provided Cheveldayoff a list of teams he'd prefer, however the Montreal Canadiens are in bold at the very top. Depending on what direction the Jets want to head with their new roster will shape this deal. If it's a retool, a package including Josh Anderson could work, but if it's a rebuild, they may want to sweeten the pot and land Kirby Dach from the Habs. Two other teams to watch, the Washington Capitals and Carolina Hurricanes.

Mark Scheifele Makes Sense in Detroit

Mark Scheifele is a massive fan of Steve Yzerman and apparently the feeling is mutual. The Red Wings would love to add Scheifele to their top six and with a young core, he'd be a great veteran presence to be brought in as the Wings look to get into contention in the east. Winnipeg will want assets and Yzerman has plenty at his disposal with two first-round picks and three second-round picks at the 2023 draft. A deal is getting close for Scheifele and look for the Wings to make an offer Cheveldayoff has to consider.

Nikolai Ehlers and Blake Wheeler are also in play for Winnipeg. If you're a Jets fan, you may want to refrain from buying a jersey this summer as there's going to be plenty of new faces next season.
